5 reasons to choose an Indian Web Hosting Company

We all know that 95% of us host with foreign companies like Hostgator, Hostmonster, BlueHost etc. It has been a common understanding that Indian Companies aren’t good enough to manage the servers, neither they care about their clients. Well, tables are turnedwithin last couple of years. One simple logic is, if foreign companies can outsource their IT jobs to India, why can’t Indian Companies provide exceptional services to Indian clients?

Being Swadeshi1.Better & Local Support:

I believe all the web hosting companies in India do offer 24×7 direct to phone support. It makes it easier for every client to get in touch anytime and talk to someone who makes sense. I have spoken to reps of a couple of Companies and it seemed like they were “NON-robotic“. They did have the logic and knew what they were talking about. Ofcourse there are exceptions that a few companies don’t pick up the call! But its upto the client to choose the right one.
Why do you think foreign Companies outsource their IT jobs to India? Cost-Cutting is one of the factors, second factor is Indian IT Professionals are SMART! They have learned what they were supposed to and can think out of the box. In the time, when foreign Companies are facilitating help desks in India, why not we (Indians) use our own?

2. Same Currency:

A lot of users face problems when they don’t have credit cards. In India, we prefer Debit cards instead. Since most of the online transactions are done through paypal, they do require you to add credit card to your account in order to make the payment. I have seen quite a few guys using Virtual Cards obtained from Entropay. So there are a lot of  Financial Institutions in between the Consumer and the Provider who charges % of the amount. Which at the end, comes up as a loss to the client.
All Indian Web hosting companies accept funds in Indian Rupee (INR), which is an added advantage for Clients to save the % that are being eaten up by 3rd Party Institutions.

3. Low Cost:

If you’d comapre the cost of your current Hosting Company with any other standard Indian Company, you will find the cost to be reasonably lower. Reason being India still runs on INR :) . Indian Companies do not require you to pay according to 50 bucks = 1 buck ratio.
One of the reasons of low cost is, the cost to the Company for Hiring Professionals and System admins is relatively low in India then Foreign Countries. There are many other factors which lowers the Cost to the Company to operate, which in turn benefits the Clients to get the same services at handsome cost.

4. Better Reliability Now:

I am sure we have seen quite a few Companies not responding to our queries, not picking up their phones in the past. But trust me, thats all History now. Indian web hosting companies are much more sophisticated now and more client-centric. You will get better Technical Support then before. The Companies that are in the business right now, are here to stay. Just choose the right one :)

5. Be Swadeshi:

Haven’t you read a lot of news around about US, UK, Aussie guys making the rules tough for Immigrants? Well, this reason is more of a “self-happyness” then technical or economical. It is always good to support the Companies of our own Countries and liquidate the money within the same economic structure. “They” say Indians have stolen their Jobs (they really do) when it comes to Call Centers, IT Support. It’s important for them to realize that we have been AWARDED with the jobs since we work hard and we don’t have “i don’t care” attitude after our working hours. At the same time, they make a lot of money through Indian Economy. What exactly do you think brought Hostgator to India and invest good money to start up their Indian offices? Its the money :)
So be swadeshi, prefer Indian good, products and companies and support our own country-men instead of some guys sitting thousands of miles away who don’t give a shit about what you think and how you feel!
I hope this article did make sense to you. Comments are always welcome :)
